Psychologist and happiness researcher, Shawn Achor says  “performs significantly better than it does at negative, neutral, or stressed. Your intelligence rises, your creativity rises, and your energy levels rise”.

Achor performed extensive research and has uncovered that happier people are more resilient, more productive, more optimistic, and the list goes on.

According to Achor, “if we can find a way of become positive in the present, then our brains work even more successfully as we’re able to work harder, faster, and more intelligently.”

There are a number of scientifically-proven ways for you to increase your happiness. Achor suggests 5 of them that you should do daily.

– Recall 3 great things you were grateful for.

– Journal 1 great experience you had throughout that day.

– Exercise.

– Meditate.

– Perform a conscious random act of kindness.

Achor says “in just a two-minute span of time, for 21 days in a row, can actually rewire your brain, allowing your brain to actually rework more optimistically and more successfully.”
