8686708312_9c7fdf06ae_bA majority of the people you come in contact with on a daily basis are big fat liars.

A study conducted in 2002 by University of Massachusetts Amherst psychologist Robert S. Feldman found that 60% of people lied during a 10 minute conversation, and they told an average of two to three lies in that time.

Fortunately, fibs are fairly easy to spot — you just have to know the signs.

Dr. Lillian Glass, a behavioral analyst and body language expert who has worked with the FBI on revealing signals of deception, says when trying to figure out if someone is lying, you first need to understand how the person normally acts. Then you’ll want to pay careful attention to their facial expressions, body language, and speech patterns, she writes in her book “The Body Language Of Liars.”

Learns these signs to call our the liars:

1) They change their head position quickly

2) Their breathing changes

3) They stand very still

4) They repeat words or phrases

5) They provide too much information

6) It becomes difficult for them to speak

7) They touch or cover their mouth

8) They tend to point a lot

The more you pay attention to these signs, the more you come to the realization that people are just not as trustworthy as you may have thought.

Although, note FBI investigators study a persons behavior before you can apply these practices to come to a final conclusion, many people might just have those tendencies to do stand still, or point, or talk a lot because of habit or their personality, that doesn’t make them a liar.
