Thousands Of Wal-Mart Employees Laid Off

Wal-Mart is the largest retailer in the country, with over a million employees in 4,500 locations.

Recently Wal-Mart suddenly closed down 5 branches in four states for alleged plumbing issues, the employees were outraged by the news given to them just hours in advance of the announcement that they were losing their jobs, this affected thousands of Wal-Mart employees.

According to ABC News, “no plumbing permits have been pulled in any of the five cities where the stores were suddenly closed for at least six months.”

The reasons why Wal-Mart is closing  their stores in these locations remain unclear, but some of the workers believe that it closed down due to protest for higher wages.
